thought of the week (1): the heart is a muscle
when we exercise, we hurt our muscles- breaking them so that they may be rebuilt to be stronger. when our heart breaks, or we ourselves do it preemptively (or as a result of rejection/fear/etc), we do it to cope. ultimately, this breaking and tearing makes our hearts stronger- just like exercising any other muscle would. it makes us stronger. our definition of love and our ability to do it...

i’m glad that it’s friday. overworked myself yesterday. after not running for two weeks (flu, etc) finally ran. 2 miles in twenty three minutes…first five of which were walking, so… overall ran a 10.28 minute mile for 18 minutes. goal is to get it to 9 without dying. also to run 3 miles without dying. so it’s friday, i’m exhausted. want to run. and study viruses...
